Mariama was born in Durba area in Bo. She attends school and she is in class 5. Her father died from liver disease. Her mother died during childbirth in 2020. She is now staying with her grandmother, Christiana, and 6 siblings. Christiana and her husband make a living from selling firewood and struggles to provide for Mariama.
