1. How does your role at Restore Hope help churches on mission?
As the Programs Coordinator for Church Engagement and Community Development, I have the privilege of interacting with our partner churches on multiple levels. I love the local church, and I believe in the local church. My goal is to engage churches by providing resources that enable them to grow in their understanding and effectiveness in holistic, sustainable, cross-cultural ministry.
2. What qualifies you to play the role you play for Restore Hope?
I grew up in a local church that values missions and the global church. This church shaped my idea of missions and my passion to love God and love people. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a master’s degree from Baylor University specializing in International Community Development.
3. If you have another job besides Restore Hope, what is your title and what do you do?
I am a wife, daughter, sister and aunt in my family! I am a faithful servant of Christ, my church and my community.
4. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I LOVE to travel, explore new countries, learn about their cultures and join in the fun! At home, I enjoy spending time with my sweet hubby, Preston, and our cat, Mako.
5. What is your favorite missions quote?
Following the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20, currently my favorite missions quote is by David Platt, “Radical obedience to Christ is not easy. It’s not comfort, not health, not wealth, and not prosperity in this world. Radical obedience to Christ risks losing all these things. But in the end, such risks finds its reward in Christ. And He is more than enough for us.”
